Hallo Simon - I picked out your blog at random. My name is Ted and I live in Perth Australia. I have recently purchased a used African hunting book with a bookplate of John A Carman, who obviously has Africa connections. His bookplate depicts a staff and serpent entwined so I assume he was a doctor. It also shows a carpenters brace and bit, a camera, and buffalo horns. The wording underneath reads "Hatuna pesa nyingi - Lakini - Tunaona Sana la vie" Can you help me with a translation please? Best wishes Ted
@Ted:Hatuna pesa nyingi -Lakini -Tunaona Sana means -We dont have a lot of money but we can see clearly. Or we have sharp eyes.
