Ask Arubian "Bobby" born, Alfonso Farrell what he wants his music to convey and he replies, " I want my music to make people feel good and to create sweet memories. The energy in my music has no limit; I want people to feel entertained and to hear the love that I have for creating music, translated into my songs."

Bobby's career in music reads like a manual for how to cultivate a perfect marriage of ambition, talent and a splash of Caribbean spice to produce what is a honourable 26 years of making hip shaking music. At 61 years old, his showman ship in music is a far cry away from the young boy who left his home land of Aruba to become a sailor, only to fall upon uncertain conditions on European soils before eventually moving to Germany to pursue a career as a DJ.

Despite the weathering conditions of his former life, his eminent love for music remained present and his growing passion for making people dance is what caught the attention of Katija Wolff, whom at the time, was scouting for performers to front the epic group, Boney M. Having been fully bowed over by his eclectic style and charismatic island charm, in 1974 Bobby was chosen as the single male in the Caribbean collective, Boney M along side fellow group members, Liz Mitchell, Maizie Williams and Marcia Barrette.

By 1979, Boney M had received worldwide recognition with hits such as ‘Daddy Cool', ‘By the Rivers Of Babylon/Brown Girl in the Ring' and ‘Sunny' all of which became instant number one hits across Europe. Boney M played an infinite role in Bobby's music history, moulding him into the class act that he has since then become. Even after the split of the group in 1986, Bobby Farrell's jubilant energy and unyielding love for music has enabled him to spawn a solo career of 15 years, earning himself the title "King of Disco".

Forever reinventing his sound and fuelling his creative engine, it comes as no surprise that Bobby's latest material integrates 70's Disco with multiple different genres, only working with creative like minded individuals on the way to breathe life into his artistic foresight. Always regaining his love for traditional Calypso music, Bobby's fusion of Disco music with Arubian influences also remain as dominant features in his songs, reaffirming his meritable pride in his Caribbean culture.

In 2010, Bobby continues to tour the world, gracing the global stage with his flamboyant style, infectious rhythms and glamorous backing singers, Edna Proctor, Maureen Pengel and Jacqueline Jonkers. "I like to look good on stage and to release all my energy in my shows. I still wear my glitter costumes and my girls always look glamorous along side me"

Currently housed under Swedish Production Company, Roasting house, Bobby's desire to create good music lives on as he readies his untitled new album, due for a late 2010 release.
